Replacing your Flex Connect Pump
How to Replace your Flex Connect Pump
Over time, your pump will wear out and need to be replaced. Under normal growing conditions, this replacement will happen every 2-4 years. If debris is caught in the pump or if you need to troubleshoot poor water flow, we recommend using your backup pump by following this pump replacement guide.
There will be a few cups of water in your pump when you remove it. We recommend having a wet vac ready or a towel below your pump to collect the water.
Step 1: Unplug and Remove your Flex Connect Pump
You will start by unplugging your Flex Connect Pump and then turning your Pump Supply and Return Line Ball Valve to the closed position (perpendicular to the line). Afterward, you will unlock both cam locks and pull the pump away from the Pump Supply and Return Line.
Step 2: Connect your Replacement Pump
Slide your Replacement Pump into the Pump Supply and Return Line Cam Locks. Lock your Cam Locks in place. Open your Pump Supply and Return Line Ball Valves.
You can now plug in your replacement pump. If you need to re-prime your pump, proceed to the Priming your Flex Connect Pump guide.
