We’re thrilled to share that Fork Farms has been named the 7th fastest-growing company in the region by Insight on Business. This recognition means a lot to us due to how we’re growing and why we’re doing it.
Fork Farms has more than doubled in size year after year. A big part of that success comes from the strong fit between our indoor farming technology and the people who use it. Many of our customers continue to expand their growing programs, which tells us we’re truly helping them make a difference.
In recent years, we made the strategic choice to focus on the place where we could create the biggest impact, which is K–12 schools. Since then, we’ve welcomed more than 800 new school partners, and there are now more than 1,000 Flex Farms growing fresh food in classrooms and cafeterias across the country.
Inside our organization, we have a simple approach: learn fast, grow fast. We call it “Fork Up and Forge On.” That means when something doesn’t work perfectly, we learn from it quickly and keep moving. This mindset helps us stay focused on customer success and continually improve our products and services.
We also encourage every team member to lead with vulnerability — to be open, honest, and willing to share challenges. Creating a workplace where people feel safe being themselves builds trust, speeds up problem-solving, and helps us grow stronger as a team.
And, above all, we’re united by a shared mission to deliver the power for all people to grow fresh food.
While our technology is at the heart of what we do, it’s not the only thing that sets Fork Farms apart. We also run our business using a strong entrepreneurial system that helps every part of our organization improve over time.
Our service and support program is another point of pride as it’s designed to help anyone become a confident grower, even if they’ve never grown food before. Many customers tell us it’s one of the best parts of working with us.
We also push ourselves to keep learning. Instead of following trends inside the indoor farming industry, we look outward — to educators, healthcare leaders, community organizations, and fresh food advocates. Their feedback helps us build new ideas, new partnerships, and new ways to bring fresh food to more people.
Our mission to expand access to fresh food shapes every decision we make. It’s why we work so closely with early adopters who believe in building healthier, more empowered communities. It’s why our sales and marketing teams act more like advisors than vendors — guiding, teaching, and supporting anyone who wants to grow food where they are.
Being recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies is an honor. But for us, the real achievement is knowing that this growth means more students learning, more communities gaining food access, and more people discovering the power to grow their own fresh food! Thanks for growing with us!
